McCloud is the home of the McCloud River Railroad, McCloud Railway. Once the home to Friday George's Sawmill, this town became the headquarters or the McCloud River Railroad. The town itself was a company town, owned part and parcel by the McCloud River Lumber Company (who also owned the railroad) This town has lived and breathed, through the engines on it's tracks, and with the railroad in question the future of the town itself is also something to wonder about. The charm of this town is unmistakable and should not be missed by anyone in the area.
