McCloud River Railroad : Passenger Operations: Excursion Photos
Trains Unlimited Tours 12-13 October 1996 |
|
Trains Unlimited Tours became a regular sponsor of McCloud Railway excursions after the success of the 1994 trip with the #19. Their next event happened over the weekend of 12-13 October 1996, but this time used the freshly painted diesel #36. Passengers rode in dinner train cars, passenger flats, cabooses, and two ex-VIA Rail passenger cars leased from the Feather River Rail Society for the event. The train over the course of two days covered the Mt. Shasta and Hambone lines on one day and the long trip to Burney and return the other day. McCloud Railway purchased the coaches shortly after this excursion. |
