McCloud River Railroad Company
Combined 1955 Dunsmuir Railroad Days and Burney Golden Spike Jubilee Souvenir Program

In 1946 Dunsmuir held the first of what has become its annual Railroad Days community celebration and event. The tenth such event scheduled for the weekend of 16-18 June 1955 fell two weeks before celebrations marking the completion of the McCloud River Railroad's new Burney extension, and in honor of that event the town of Burney renamed its annual Burney Basin Days held around the July 4th holiday to the "Golden Spike Jubilee". The organizers of the two events combined their efforts to produce a souvenir program covering both events. The program is reproduced here in its entirety, in the order the pages appear in the original. Some of the pages have been rotated to a Landscape format for viewing ease. One note, the first half of the program covers the Burney Basin Days/Golden Spike Jubilee, while the Dunsmuir Railroad Days are in the back half, but the Dunsmuir events start sequentially at the rear cover and work forward from there, as a result the program in its raw form appears in reverse order of the actual events below.
