Along The Line:
Cowning's Mill

The site of Cowning's Mill is today a virtual thicket of young trees. One of the few substantive remnants of the operation is this device, consisting of a railroad wheel welded inside a frame, that was probably parts of a pulley system to move railcars. The device sat in the weeds next to the tracks until salvage, at which point the scrappers pulled it out onto the grade. Jeff Moore.

A concrete base for some piece of machinery is one of the few remnants in the former mill site. Jeff Moore.
