When Dicalite established its reload at Cayton the railroad placed a former Camino, Placerville & Lake Tahoe boxcar body on blocks next to the siding to facilitate

McCloud train crews used to openly wonder what exactly kept their trains on the rail on the Caytton siding. Date stamps on many of the ties the salvage contractor dug
from the ground by March 2010 showed most to have been in place since the Burney line had been built. Jeff Moore.
